Eastern Alps

Although the Eastern Alps are slightly lower than their proximate peaks in the West, this does not mean that one cannot relax and recharge one's batteries in this eastern part of the Alps. Exactly the opposite is the case. Mountain tours, bypassing the magnificent Eastern Alps gentian, as well as adventurous high altitude tours are daily activities in the holiday paradise Eastern Alps.

Also “off-road” you have many opportunities to explore the area: for instance on your Enduro, by joining a unhurried motorbike tour, or during a thrilling “free ride transalpine tour”. Heads up, amateur geologists! The rock formation of the Eastern Alps will amaze all nature lovers.

Mighty mountain peaks and rare stones, the magic of the rocky “Limestone High Alps” consisting of chalk and Dolomit, as well as the “Steinmadln” (=statues made of stone) along the track which help you find your way in addition to the map, are guarantors for pure adventure.

To those who do not intend to explore the mountains, the fabulous villages in the Eastern Alps region offer very interesting cultural programmes as well as a wide range of leisure time activities for sunny days.
